Endless waves

Winter has finally come, and the last couple of weeks were stormy, with strong winds and rain, bringing along great waves to surf. The stormy sea is not suitable for surfers, so the only lunatics out there are a bunch of kayakers with small, whitewater kayaks, just trying to keep our heads out of the water.
On days like this we can't cross the surf, so we need a sheltered beach to launch from - like the one in Hilton Beach, Tel Aviv. It's a small harbor sheltered by 2 wave breakers, allowing us to enter the waves in the middle of action, just where the big ones break.
First weekend belonged to the "hardcore" paddlers, and a week later Nava and Avinoam, who bought a KingPin 6.1 and joined us for the first time.
Rami brought his cameras and we took some pictures and videos (edited by Rami himself):

Selected pictures:
On Saturday we visited our Optimists friends (Steve, Hadas, Israel & Shatzki) at Sdot Yam, to practice our playboating in the surf. Steve, Vered and Zohar were there with their cameras and edited a nice video as well:

Happy winter...
P.S
Now that's it's raining, it won't be long before we'll start heading north for some real whitewater, stay tuned.
